Video-based CD-ROM provides realistic role models for transition students!

This video-based CD-ROM provides realistic role models for your transition students. Each participant deals with important and relevant issues on the road to vocational success. Students explore topics by selecting a "movie" or "book" option. Easy-to-use interface encourages independent exploration. The biographical movies are an intimate look into the lives of five successful supported employees. Their stories will motivate and encourage your students. For example, Sue decides to leave her job and pursue a new career path. Enthusiasm for his job helps Larry find a rewarding position. Maurice needs to prove himself to a skeptical boss. The books reinforce and the topics in the movies. You can choose a "talking" selection which reads the text to the student. The movies are based on Everybody's Working video, a highly respected documentary that has won awards at the 1997 New York Film Festival and CINDY International Media Festival. Please note: your computer's speed determines whether standard or enhanced movie presentation is best for you. Enhanced display takes advantage of the newest technology by providing full-motion, larger pictures. Standard display provides a smaller picture, but with fewer system requirements. System requirements: Windows-Windows 95 with sound card Macintosh-System 7 or higher

If the child has trouble reaching up to the screen, try placing the Touch Screen on a table or wheelchair tray so that a child can comfortably control the cursor.
