Activities begin with an easy match-to-sample exercise and progress to include typing simple words on the computer and following a picture schedule. Covers these areas: Dealing with aggression, record keeping, communication, self-help, fine and gross motor skills and sensory toleration. 116 pages, 1999. Video (P0724) also available.

Occupational Therapy: Cut Up Fruits and Vegetables

A great toy for developing good fine motor skills in kids with mild special needs and visual impairments. Try slicing up a nice salad and then see if your child can match up the pieces again! Can your child hold the food with one hand and cut it up using the knife with the other? Many good creative games can be played with these. To add to the fun, add old pots, Tupperware, and kitchen tools.
