Use closed-cell foam tubing to build up tool and utensil handles. Built-up handles give greater control to people who may lack coordination, strength or gripping ability. The tubing has a slip-resistant "skin" and is dishwasher safe. Supplied in 12" (30 cm) pieces that may be cut to length. 7" to.8" (18 to 20 mm) I.D., 1 1/8" (29 mm) O.D., .21" to .29" (5.3 to 7.4 mm) wall thickness, 6 pieces per package.

Occupational Therapy: Chubbi Stump Crayons and the Palmer Grasp
These crayons are perfect for children with small hands and for children using a palmer (whole hand) grasp. They are excellent quality with strong true colour. Of course they are nontoxic, although kids should not snack on them! They are not washable so you don't want them used on the walls. Virtually unbreakable.
